Lung Cancer Survivor Excelling in Running Competitions
A non-smoker and active individual, Linda Wortman was shocked to be diagnosed with lung cancer. After arduous treatment and many painful days spent with the support of her loving husband, Jerry, Linda found a new passion for running and has taken it to new heights–over 6,000 ft to be exact. Training in the high altitude of Big Sky, Montana, with only a lung-and-a-half post-op, she is performing exceptionally well in 5ks all around the nation. Her goal is to run in all fifty states in an effort to share her story and bring awareness about lung cancer.
