Going Over the Edge for Cancer League of Colorado
CIIT caught up with Hollie Krell, mother of three and survivor of two types of cancer, as she rappelled down the side of a 31-story building in downtown Denver, Colorado to help raise funds for cancer research and patient care in Colorado. The event is called Over the Edge, and it’s hosted annually by the Cancer League of Colorado, a 100% volunteer-run organization. That means the funds raised go directly to organizations like the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
Rappelling 31 stories in the middle of downtown Denver can be a lot like facing a cancer diagnosis: you just have to take a deep breath and step over the edge. Like Hollie says, “you can’t live in fear.”
